The Australian Law Students’ Association (ALSA) would like to congratulate the winners and participants of the Law Competitions at the 2010 Australian Law Students’ Association Conference.
 
The national grand finals were held in the Federal Court of Australia, Adelaide on Sunday 18 July.
 
ALSA is pleased to announce the winners and best speakers in each of the Educational Competitions.
 
Macquarie University took out two competitions, with Ayowande McCunn, Mona Mbogua and Mary Huang winning the Mallesons Stephen Jaques ALSA Moot Championship, and Nicholas Ferrari and Reece Corbett-Wilkins winning the Client Interviewing Championship. David Jordan of Adelaide University was awarded Best Speaker in the preliminary rounds of the Mallesons Stephen Jaques ALSA Moot Championship.
 
Julian Law of The University of Melbourne won the Witness Examination Championship, and in an all New Zealand final, Alison Dunn and Christopher Jenkins from the The University of Auckland were successful in the Allens Arthur Robinson Negotiation Championship.
 
Kendra Fouracre and David Bomball from The Australian National University won the Australian Red Cross International Humanitarian Law Moot Championship. Georgia Boyce from The University of Melbourne was awarded Best Speaker for the preliminary rounds of the competition.
 
Finally, David Herbert from Murdoch University won the Paper Presentation Championship.
 
A number of prestigious lawyers and academics donated their valuable time to help judge the competitions and ALSA would like to thank them for their effort.
