Mallesons Outsourcing Agreement

27/10/2011. ALSA understands the underlying reasons behind the Malleson outsourcing agreement. The main concern for ALSA of the Mallesons outsourcing agreement is the effect such an agreement will have on recruitment and retention of young lawyers.

At this point it appears there has been no detrimental effect, and it is held by Mallesons that there will be no detrimental effect. Conversely Mallesons believes such a move will expose young lawyers to more diverse legal work. This is a goal that ALSA supports.

Should this not be the case in the future and negative afflictions are imposed upon law graduates in their endeavours to gain or continue employment, ALSA will revisit its stance on this kind of outsourcing.
